Every day I learn something new about food. From flavors to techniques, I find everything about the culinary world fascinating. That is why I have begun this blog. To share and record my experiences with food each and every day. It is just the beginning of my career and I have a long way to go to get where I want to be, so right now I'm learning everything I can and sharing it with you!

Flipping Food
It seems to come naturally to so many chefs. That simple flip of the wrist that sends food flying through the air only to come back and gracefully land in the pan. The technique combines flavors better than any spoon or spatula. When done correctly you not only look like a pro, but you also feel like one. After struggling with this skill the first couple of weeks I was here, I think I have finally have it mastered. Click here for a YouTube where Ming Tsai, a competitor on Food Network's The Next Iron Chef, explains how to do the technique.
*The fire in the picture comes from the combination of water and flame as you toss the food in the pan.
